Tithe was and no longer is. The reason for tithe in the old testament (OT) was for the provision of the tribe of Levi. They had no land nor heritage among Israel therefore the tithe was not money but products. That was law in OT times. In the book of Malachi, we see that men could break that law and God called it robbery. In the new testament by revelation we see that the Apostles did not collect tithes from the church. In the book of Acts, they recieved the gifts that men gave out of free will. We also see a couple die before Apostle Peter. Ananias and Safira. Their deeds were worse than robbing tithes in OT.
